WPCC Closes the 2022 Club-Year Out in Style

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, members of the Washington Park Camera Club gathered together for their annual End of the Year Banquet. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed a dinner of Fried Chicken, Catfish, Steamed Veggies and Peach Cobbler. Various awards and certificates were handed out for competition photos, contributions and “thank you”.Two “Persons of the Year” were announced: Hez Baker and Yvonne Cary-Carter.

Meetings will resume in September 2022 of the new 2022 to 2023 Club Year.

Washington Park Camera Club Celebrates Olmsted 2000

Today, April 26, 2022 marks the 200th birthday of Frederick Law Olmsted, America’s landscape architect.  More than 120 organizations across the United States have come together to celebrate the bicentennial in a campaign called Olmsted 200: Parks for All People.  Members of Washington ParK Camera Club were honored to participate in the celebration by creating an online photo essay “South Park Then and Now”.  By clicking on the Hyde Park Historical Society link you will be able enjoy the presentation and learn more about the celebration.
