On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Washington Park Camera Club members voted to adopt a new, modernized, and scalable club logo. The updated design simplifies the visual elements while preserving the spirit of the original 1955 mark and incorporating key aspects of the 2013 update, including the club’s name and founding year. The refreshed logo enhances clarity, improves scalability across print and digital uses, and makes the club’s name more prominent for consistent and effective branding.
1955
The original 1955 logo features a photographer capturing an image with a tripod-mounted camera.

2013
The 2013 logo update introduced the club’s red with a ribbon button and the blue glass of a camera lens. However, the shading and use of more than three colors made reproduction difficult for shirt production and other media applications.

2026
The proposed 2026 logo update preserves the original 1955 photographer and camera imagery, incorporates the 2013 club colors, and simplifies the design for clear, scalable, and print-ready reproduction. By eliminating background elements and minimizing visual distractions, the logo can be consistently used across all media and backgrounds, while preserving the club’s name in bold and distinct lettering for effective digital and print presentation. The logo is sampled here on white, red, and black backgrounds. The white outer circle enhances definition and separation on similar and darker colors.
