DESCRIPTION:We are looking forward to viewing many creative photographic images which will receive well deserved scores from the judges.All eligible members are encouraged to participate with Print & DPI entries.  \n\n\n\nPrinted images should be mounted on black boards and submitted no later than 6:15pm. Competition will begin promptly at 6:30pm. \n\n\n\nPrint competition is every other month. Therefore submission of prints are as follows:  \n\n\n\nLarge print 16×20 – 1 B&W per month. 1 Color per month.  Total 4 prints  \n\n\n\nSmall print 11×14 – 1 B&W per month.  1 Color per month. Total 4 prints \n\n\n\nDPI submissions allowed are: \n\n\n\n\n-2 B & W images \n\n\n\n– 2 Color  images\n\n\n\n\nDPI File Size & Format \n\n\n\n\nEach image must have the following maximum size: Horizontal side will be no more than 1\,400 pixels. Learn about the photography composition guidelines and when to “break” them! \n\n\n\nComposition Guidelines (Okay … “rules”): \n\n\n\nWhile there many\, many ways to compose a photo\, please choose one of the following four guidelines (aka rules) for each photo: \n\n\n\n\nThe Rule of Thirds: Use a grid that divides the view into 9 equal parts to help position important elements in your photos.\n\n\n\nLeading Lines: Use natural or built lines in your environment to lead the viewer’s eye towards the main subject.\n\n\n\nFrame within a Frame: Incorporate elements like windows\, doors\, or arches to frame your subject within the photograph.\n\n\n\nFill the Frame: Ensure your subject fills up most of the space in the composition to focus attention and eliminate distractions.\n\n\n\n\nNaming Your Photos: \n\n\n\n\nInclude the title of the photo\, your name\, and the composition guideline used. \n\n\n\nFor example\, a photo titled “Lady in the Park” by Philip Thomas using the Rule of Thirds should be named: “Lady in the Park ~ Philip Thomas ~ Rule of Thirds”. \n\n\n\nIf you’re submitting from a mobile device or are unsure how to rename files\, include this information in your submission email.\n\n\n\n\nCreativity:  \n\n\n\nFeel free to experiment with both capturing and editing your images. \n\n\n\nEligibility and Submission Period: \n\n\n\n\nPhotos must be taken between May 7\, 2024\, and June 1\, 2024. \n\n\n\nSubmit your photos by June 1\, 2024\, via email to Philip_P_Thomas@yahoo.com.
