DESCRIPTION:South Park Then & Now \n\nThe WPCC and Hyde Park Historical Society present South Park: Then and Now\, an on-line photo exhibit\, that\nweaves together historic and contemporary images of South Park: Jackson\, Washington Parks and the Midway\nPlaisance. The photo essay highlights the importance of Olmsted’s landscapes in the past as well as the vital role\nthey play in the lives of Chicagoans today.\nSouth Park Then and Now \, part of the nationwide Olmsted 200 “Parks for All People “ celebration\,\nis presented as part of Art Design Chicago Now\, an initiative funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art\nthat amplifies the voices of Chicago’s diverse creatives\, past and present\, and explores the essential role they\nplay in shaping the now.
